Illusion FOTD Makeup / Focus on the Base Foundation

I am in love with Liquid eye liner, as you can probably tell 🙂

& my exploration of messing around with my eyeliner led to the Makeup Look I am sharing with you today!

I am always trying to find ways to create Drama around my eye area in a subtle & not too overstated way, and so for today I’ve decided to do this by shading in my eyeliner to make my eyes appear larger!!!

Inspiration for this look lead to my FOTD (Face of the day) Makeup Look name:

Talking through my makeup look, I talk about my base foundation, but I haven’t gone into the details of what I use!

I have been using Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24HRFoundation in shade 01

It feels like silk on the skin! & without trying to force a product onto someone, I can honestly say this product lasts 24+ on your skin without leaking!

I’ve worn this product in drastic weather conditions from heat, to winter & it doesn’t melt, or crack, instead it remains matte & silky on your skin, and creates a really smooth base to build your makeup on!

I apply my foundation using a 187 Duo Fibre BrushMac

Mainly used as a powder/ Pigment brush I find that the circular shape fibres enable me to lock in my foundation & use it instead of a 190 Foundation Brush Mac

as it reduces streaking, a typical occurrence using the 190 Brush, & you can evenly distribute the foundation on your face in a circular motion!

It is light, creamy & Silky, I suggest trying out a sample on your skin in order to get a feel for the foundation before buying!!! Then you can really feel the texture on your skin, and judge whether it is right for your skin & if it will hold!

For my Illusions eye look, I’ve decided to create an eye look that doesn’t follow the   eyelid/ lash line & instead elevates towards the outer corner of the eye!

A tip to create this look: Just as you reach about 3/4 length away from the outer corner of the eye start to create a stroke in an upward motion, do this by tipping the pen in a diagonal motion!

I used my MacPenultimate Eyeliner Pen in Carbon Black to create this eye look!

& I finished my Look with a simple pink lip using CliniqueChubby Stick in Shade 14 Curvy Candy

  1. So gorgeous, you look so Beautiful & flawless, that foundation is a definite on my to buy list next time I hit the Lancome counter, and thank you for the tips on which mac brush to buy, I’m a novice on these things & would have just opted for a foundation brush!
However I will definitely give the other brush a try 🙂

    Love your posts ❤

    1. Oh wow thank you so much Nila 🙂 I am glad you want to try the Lancome Foundation, try get a sample before you buy it to test it out on your skin first, then if you like it buy it :p a definite 100% recommendation of mine! & yes indeed I’ve tried and tested both brushes & definitely the 187 is the better for applying cream based foundations! Thank you for support and love ❤ xx
