Welcome back to Surreal Serene!!! I’m Serene and today I’m going to be sharing with you a special post, and sharing my fourth and last outfit from my trip to Rome, Italy!!! … and the down low on what I got up to on my last day in the beautiful city of love!!!
On the last day in Rome, we went out and spent the entire afternoon in the Vatican City & how we got there, was also a real form of transport worth mentioning!!! We used a sightseeing Hop on and Off bus that drives around the city of Rome, and allows you to hop on and off as much as you want around the 8 main locations they stop at!!! It’s a real bargain to explore all that Rome has to offer, and you can use it as many times as you’d like throughout the day, You’ll pay around 32 Euros for this bus service but it will save you a lot of money travelling around and you can buy the day pass which lasts 24 hours, or you can check out their offers and buy a 2 – day pass or even a 3 day pass!!!
We used the Big Bus tours service, and you can check out their website here!!!
After we arrived at the Vatican City, we walked through the gorgeous streets full of statues, and firstly stopped at one of the many gorgeous restaurants surrounding the City, and ate lovely home cooked Raviolli and Pizza in a lovely place called Trattoria Settimio All’Arancio!!!
Trattoria Settimio All’Arancio Address: Via dell’Arancio, 50, 00186 Roma RM, Italy
After food haha, we passed the Castel Sant’ Angelo, after crossing over the River Tiber and it’s also an attraction to visit, as you can see the views of Rome from on top of the castle!!!
After this we walked towards and inside St. Peter’s Basilica which is a Late Renaissance church built by architects including Michelangelo. WOOOOOOOW ❤ The entire church was decorated by murals, tapestry and gold, such a beautiful building and one of the most opulent sights I’ve ever seen <3!!!
After this we walked around the Vatican City, and stayed there for a while taking in the views of the Giardini Vaticani, the Famous Sistine Chapel which features more of the stunning works of Michelangelo’s and features a stunning 16th-century painted ceiling. and even stopped by off for a coffee in one of the many coffee shops around the Vatican!!!
After this, we walked back to the Big Bus Hop on and Off pick up point, and we rode on the sightseeing bus until the Trevi Fountains stop, to have a little walk around the fountains, and check out the nearby shops, for souvenirs, fresh pasta, oil, and goodies ❤ <3!!!
For the day I decided to dress in a very tonal outfit, by incorporating cream tones within my outfit. I sported a very easy to wear, comfy yet stylish High Neck Ribbed Jumpsuit from Missguided which is perfect for a long day of walking around, and I teamed the look with my oversized stone coloured Missguided Puffer Jacket, for warmth (as it was colder during the evenings in Rome)!!! The sun was shining as bright as ever, and I wore a pair of my La Moda Sunglasses, and kept the accessorising to a minimum with a pair of my Primark Large Silver Hoop earrings and completed the look with my Nike Air Max’s as I carried a carry on luggage so these trainers were perfect for all my outfits around Rome ❤
